Linear variable differential transformers (LVDT) are electrical transformer sensors to measure linear displacement. Driven by an AC excitation source, the LVDT generates a pair of AC output signals modulated according to the core's mechanical position (displacement). LVDTs have been widely used in applications such as power turbines, hydraulics, automation, aircraft, satellites, nuclear reactors, and many others. These transducers have low hysteresis and excellent repeatability.

Our PXI Millivolt Thermocouple Simulator modules provide 32, 24, 16 or 8 channels of accurate low sources. They are ideal for the simulation of thermocouples and can be used for sensor emulation in ECU testing. The channels can be operated with one of three voltage ranges covering most thermocouple types. PXI Standard Programmable Resistor Modules
Pickering's PXI Standard Programmable Resistor Modules include fully programmable resistor and potentiometer modules for applications such as sensor emulation that require fine adjustment with a resolution down to 0.25 Ohm. All of our Programmable Resistor Modules can easily be formed to make Programmable Potentiometers by connecting two channels in series, using the unconnected terminals as the A and B connections and the link between the two channels as the wiper connection. For applications with more demanding accuracy and resolution requirements, consider our Precision Programmable Resistor Modules .

They have four banks, each capable of simulating the output of a single 5 or 6-wire VDT or resolver, or dual 4-wire utilizing a shared excitation signal. This allows the module to simulate up to 4 channels of 5 or 6-wire or 8 channels of 4-wire.
