High Voltage Switching Systems
HXV Series
HXV products are high voltage systems intened for Hi-pot / IR or High voltage switching. They can be configured to drive from 32 to 128 switch points per chassis and can be configured as multiplexer (1xN) or Matrix (NxM) configurations. Stand HXV chassis are used for signals up to 5000 VAC rms ( 7400 V peak ) and can carry up to 5 amps of current. Custom systems can be built up to 25KV. Most of the modules used in these systems are 1xN multiplexers or 2x4 matrix modules that can be combined to form larger multiplexers or matrices. Connector options for standard HXV include 5 way banaba jacks / binding posts, Shrouded Banana Jacks or SHV ( High voltage BNC) if you need to use a high voltage cable with a grounded shield for safety applications. Control options include 10/100BaseT Ethernet LAN, RS232, GPIB or optional manual control. Standard HXV systems use high voltage reed relays. Custom HXV systems up to 25KV use application specific relays and connectors from a variety of vendors based on required specifications.

FSHV offers three different types of AC voltage test systems, the conventional type is AC test transformer design, mainly for testing objects of medium & low capacitance products, particularly for tests requiring stable voltage even if the load changes under voltage (corona, wet & pollution tests) or when the load is inductive (like inductive voltage transformers). Another is AC resonant test systems, according to series resonance circuit XL=XC (2πfL=1/2πfC), by setting F frequency of power supply or L inductance of reactor, generate a pure sinusoidal waveform of the test voltage, and the required input power is only 1/Q. Variable frequency type operates in a frequency range from 20Hz to 300Hz, ideal for field commissioning test of power cables and GIS/GIL. An add-on option for the CableEye HVX high voltage cable tester series that permits expanded testing for contact and wire resistance as low as 1 mΩ. After checking for opens, shorts, miswires, and resistance limits, the 4-wire Kelvin measurement applies a user-selectable test current from 10 mA to 1 A to determine connection resistance within 1 mΩ.
