There are many different line voltages and frequencies around the world. Yacht owners in particular are affected by this problem when they are in port. An on-board network designed for the European network cannot be connected to the network in the USA. The reverse is also not possible. This incompatibility of the on-board and port / national network means that the on-board generators for power generation must also run in the port when the yacht is idle - an expensive and environmentally harmful necessity. The shore connection converter JOVYPHASE GPC (Global Power Converter) from JOVYATLAS adapts the shore network to the existing on-board network, regardless of which country voltage and frequency is present. The converter can be operated in parallel to the on-board generators for a short time, This ensures an uninterrupted transition to the shore connection. Once the shore connection is established, the generators can be switched off automatically and the shore connection converter takes over the electrical energy supply of the ship. This saves fuel, conserves resources and prevents unnecessary noise and exhaust emissions from running generators.
