The FastX3 frame grabber series is for users who anticipate a demand for extreme I/O requirements and/or higher bandwidth, complex image processing and real-time high-speed storage in a cost effective platform. The base FastX3, is a one half-length raw form factor PCIe (X4) Gen2 board with either six basic 85 MHz Camera Link Channels up to two extended full Camera Link camera interfaces. The front-end data is formatted and preprocessed by an Artix FPGA beforie being sent to the PCIe (X4) Gen 2 interface. It also is POCL and has isolated inputs including three LVDS I/Os.

FastX1703
The FastX1703 framegrabber series is for users who anticipate a demand for extreme I/O requirements and/or higher bandwidth, complex image processing and real-time high-speed storage in a cost effective platform. The base FastX1703, is a two thirds length raw form factor PCI board six basic 85 MHz Camera Link Channels or an extended Camera Link camera interface. An auxilliary I/O connector provides a header for adaptation of other high speed interfaces such as LVDS or high speed analog formats such as UXGA or DVI. The front-end data is formatted and preprocessed by a FPGA before being sent to the memory subsection, up to four PNX1702 500 MHz processors with 256MB memory each. Finally, the FastX1703 interfaces to the host computer through a 4xPCIe interface for state-of-the-art data acquisition.

Software & Development Tools

Customization can be performed for both software and FPGA design code (HDL). The software suite includes the ProcFG and InfiniVision Grabber GUIs as well as API suits for custom user software application. The Development kit that includes the ProcWizard application is for efficient and intuitive FPGA code customization and integration with software code.

The PCIe-FIW62 is an IEEE 1394b (FireWire 800) interface card which provides two high-speed FireWire 800 ports with data transfer rates up to 800 Mb/s on a PCI ExpressR x1 lane. The PCIe-FIW62 provides two direct-connect IEEE 1394b bilingual connectors with a screw-lock mechanism. These screw-lock connectors provide a reliable connection between the PCIe-FIW62 and up to two IEEE 1394b cameras. A 4-pin ATX power connector on the PCIe-FIW62 supports IEEE 1394b cameras that draw power directly from the frame grabber. Each port has a green LED on the front panel that will illuminate when the PCIe-FIW62 is connected to a IEEE 1394b camera for convenient identification of channel connection status.
