Diode Lasers
Spot Creator
Advanced Photonic Sciences LLC
Spot Creator is an innovative accessory developed for enhancing the performance of blue laser diode based engraving and cutting machines. Spot Creator solves a major problem with using asymmetric blue laser diodes: the production of engraving features that are different in the X-Y directions, resulting in unequal or blurred lines. Using Spot Creator, line widths are equal in the X-Y directions, with a minimum spot of 50 μm. The intensity on the engraved part is thus maximized.

HI-Q LASERS
Laser houses a proprietary driver/controller and the OEwaves laser source which is based on a high quality factor (Q) Whispering Gallery Mode (WGM) micro-resonator. The laser is scalable to a variety of wavelengths in 370 – 4500nm. laser leverages the self-injection locking capability of a suitable commercially available laser diode via resonant optical feedback from a high-Q WGM micro-resonator. Its monolithically integrated approach along with micro-scale mass and volume make the laser virtually insensitive to environmental vibrations.

Tunable Lasers
Tunable lasers are laser light sources designed to emit coherent light at large range of wavelengths. Simply put, this ability to “tune” wavelenghts makes these lasers particularly useful in many applications requiring great flexibility and performance optimization. As such, tunable lasers are commonly used for spectroscopy, interferometry, microscopy applications and writing of Holographic Optical Elements (HOE). More recently, we have seen their rise within quantum research.

Single Frequency Lasers
A single-frequency laser is a type of laser which operates within a singular resonator mode, achievable when the net gain bandwidth of the laser remains narrower than the frequency spacing of the resonator modes. In cases where the mode spacing isn’t adequately large to support a single resonator mode, single-frequency operation is maintained through the utilization of intracavity filters. This enables the single-frequency laser to possess an exceedingly narrow linewidth, frequently measuring only a few kHz, and an extended coherent length. A clear association exists between the coherence length and the spectral width of the laser.
