The C387 is a single-width, 6U, CompactPCI module with up to 256 digital input/output channels. The C387 base board supports 128 channels of TTL I/O. Four mezzanine card sites can be populated with other forms of digital I/O including isolated input, isolated output, relay output, AC switch output or differential I/O. The mezzanine card concept allows multiple digital I/O types to be configured within a single module to match the application requirements.

PCI-IIRO-8 occupies four consecutive eight-bit registers in I/O space. PCI-IIRO-16 occupies eight consecutive eight-bit registers in I/O space.

Digital Input/Output Card
IOD-144
This is a 144-bit full-size card. A Programmable Peripheral Interface chip, type 8255-5 provides three 8-bit ports (A, B, and C) for each 24-bit group. Each port can be independently programmed for either input or output. Port C can also be configured as two 4-bit ports. These cards fully implement Mode 0 of the 8255 PPI chip. (Consult the factory if you desire to operate in Mode 1.) Type LS245 bi-directional transceivers sink 24 mA (optionally 64 mA) and source 15 mA. These transceiver buffers provide hysteresis correction on inputs and added drive capability on outputs. The direction of the transceivers is set by software.

The FMC216 is an FPGA Mezzanine Card (FMC) per VITA 57 specification. The FMC216 utilizes AD9625 ADCs providing 12-bit conversion rates of up to 2.6 GSPS and a DAC AD9129 providing 14-bit conversion rates of up to 5.6 GSPS. The analog input/output, digital output, clock and trigger interfaces of the FMC216 are routed via SSMC connectors. The SX1509 Breakout is a 16-channel GPIO expander with an I2C interface – that means with just two wires, your microcontroller can interface with 16 fully configurable digital input/output pins. Model RAD242 is an intelligent, two-differential-channel, 24-bit analog-input interface unit that includes a Delta-Sigma A/D converter. The converter has a digital output filter with adjustable notch frequency from 10 Hz to 2000 Hz. The pod also has 13 bits of digital input/output. A precision 10 VDC voltage that can be used for transducer excitation is available at connector pin 5. As much as 60 mA current can be provided.
