Towing Dynamometer
RS-90K
RS-90K towing dynamometer is designed for testing Class A trucks and is the most full-featured, reliable and accurate towing dynamometer in the industry. The RS-90K is built with a heavy duty steel frame, heavy-duty industrial axles and rides on an air ride suspension. The RS-90K is designed to maintain 90,000 Newtons of constant drawbar pull and the ability to simulate an uphill slope of 25%. The towing dyno uses absorbers with special high temperature coils powered by an industrial generator so there are no lead-acid batteries to charge and testing is unlimited at low speeds.

DC Power / Energy Absorber Test System

The Energy Absorber Test System includes power supplies and a regenerative energy absorber with a rating of 400VDC at ±150A. The system consists of DC power supplies, an AC distribution and interlock system, an energy absorber chassis and an absorber load resistor chassis. At the heart of the MD-7500 is a set of three air-cooled eddy current power absorbers. Each absorber, or brake, can hold up to 600-hp (total power of 1,800-hp) more than enough to simulate a fully loaded transit bus. As the systems PAU''s (brakes) are air-cooled, no water is required to or from the device eliminating the high cost of water consumption and/or the cost of an expensive water recovery system which can sometimes exceed the cost of the dynamometer system itself.
