Analog Multipliers & Dividers
An analog multiplier/divider is a device that produces an output voltage or current that is proportional to the product of two or more independent input voltages or currents. In addition to multiplying and dividing, multipliers can perform squaring, square-rooting and modulation functions. Applications include radar, communications, and industrial controls where a real-time response is required. Analog Devices’ offers the widest selection of multipliers and dividers.

Current Mirrors
Analog Devices current mirrors are precision, high dynamic range, wide variable supply parts used for optical power monitoring, voltage biasing with current monitoring, and voltage-to-current conversion. Our current mirrors can monitor current down to as little as 3 nA and as much as 3 mA, with a linearity of 1% or better. The current dynamic range is 120 dB or 6 decades of current range, while the overcurrent protection feature in our devices forces the input pin to ground to avoid part damage. Over temperature (–40°C to +85°C) and process, the dynamic range only suffers 10 dB at the lower end of the range.

RMS to DC Converters
RMS-to-DC converters manufactured by Analog Devices are used in a wide variety of applications where precision and low power measurement of ac signals is the prime objective. An ADI rms-to-dc converter offers real time measurements, meaning there are no latency issues such as those that limit the frequency response of other technologies—the dc output is simply the equivalent of the rms input, over a wide range of input frequencies, and for complex waveforms not limited to sine waves. ADI offers a wide range of rms-to-dc converters optimized for the most demanding performance, power, and cost applications satisfying true rms needs.

Micropower Voltage References
Analog Devices offers a broad line precision micropower voltage references with extremely low quiescent currents (series references) or minimum shunt currents (shunt voltage references). All of our precision voltage references offer excellent initial accuracy and low temperature drift over time and temperature. Our Reference Plus products combine precision voltage references with comparators or amplifiers.

Reference plus Comparator or Amplifier
Analog Devices reference plus comparator or amplifier products combine the excellent initial accuracy and low overtemperature drift performance of single function voltage references with comparators, buffer amplifiers, and current sense amplifiers. These products offer compact solutions for a broad range of applications such as battery monitoring, threshold detectors, window comparators, auto power-off circuits, and low dropout (LDO) regulators.

Series Voltage References
Analog Devices offers a broad line of series voltage references with low dropout, low power, and excellent line regulation. These devices are voltage references that are functionally similar to a three-terminal regulator. Some series voltage references are designed to also operate in shunt mode by biasing the output pin and leaving the input pin open circuit. Series mode voltage references have the advantage that they draw only load and quiescent current from the input supply.

Shunt Voltage References
Analog Devices offers a broad line of shunt precision voltage references that combine excellent accuracy and temperature stability with low noise and small packages. These devices operate in a manner that is functionally equivalent to a Zener diode. The bias current must be set higher than the sum of the maximum quiescent current of the voltage reference and the maximum expected load current. Since shunt voltage references are typically biased with a resistor, the voltage reference can operate on a wide range of input voltages.
