PC-Based Software Program for Displaying Multple SPL-Displays from a Number of RT-Captures Over LAN in One Single Window
Remote-SPL
During big events, such as festivals, it’s required to make sound level logging in front of many stages and positions. To be able to supervise all these locations in real time, the SPL values can be communicated over Local Area Network (LAN) or Wireless LAN, WLAN. Sound Level Management and/or Production office or festival management will be able to watch levels in real time and prepare actions if limits are exceeded. Message can be sent to each SPL-display individually to Front of House for example.Remote-SPL is a PC-based software program for displaying multiple SPL-displays from a number of RT-Captures over LAN in one single window. Messages can be sent individually to each SPL-display in the RT-Capture. RT-Capture’s logging and Remaining Leq can be started remotely over LAN in the Remote-SPL control windows.Up to 256 RT-Capture can be remotely displayed, but the screen size will limit long before that number is reached.An unlimited number of Remote-SPL can watch the RT-Capture LAN. The network protocol we use will broadcast the data in a compact format and will not consume significant bandwidth, even if there is a large number of RT-Captures and Remote-SPLs on the LAN.

After twenty years of research and development WaveCapture are proud to present the first expert system for generating FIR-filter coefficients based on measurements; FIR-Capture.Originating from Lab.gruppen’s DSP24 FIR-filter based loudspeaker processor, pioneered by Dan Bävholm and Klas Dalbjörn, and together with Johny Grenander’s groundbreaking work on Windows based measurement system.FIR-Capture is one of the first measurement systems to offer FIR coefficient generation for independent magnitude-, phase- and group-delay -linearization using linear or mixed phase targets. Linear phase crossovers and brickwall filters are used in a combination with IIR parametric filters in the simulation. Text and comma separated .CSV coefficient files can be created for use in a number of DSP processors or amplifiers. Among them are the XTA DP448, Crown I-Tech HD, Powersoft KDSP-series and soon Lab.gruppen’s PLMs.

Sound Pressure Level Logging Software
RT-Capture 3
RT-Capture 3 is a SPL (Sound Pressure Level) logging software supporting a number of national and international standards. It is intended for self-governance of sound levels during music events, concerts and festivals.RT-Capture 3 has octave and third octave logging implemented for environmental noise control.RT-Capture has integrated networking for web-server over LAN and remote control and display of up to 250 units.RT-Capture uses a standard PC-soundcard and supports measurements from two microphones.RT-capture records a log-file with SPL-data (such as Leq, LAmax, LCpeak) and make compressed sound recordings of the audio signal.The log-file can be watched graphically and audio can be played back from a cursor point in the graph. The SPL-measurement is validated to the IEC 61672 standard and other international standards.Protocol according to several national standards can be printed. A scheduler can be set to email the log-file during logging.

A range of newly developed analyzing tools provides fast and accurate tuning information; delay-finder with group-delay and Cepstrum analysis, filter optimization, sound level metering with histogram etc.Much effort is put in the new user interface to reduce the need for dialog boxes and spin-boxes. These are replaced with modern mouse wheel and grab ‘n’ drag mouse based and controls. For example if you need to change the range of a graph, this is now done with the mouse wheel.
