The RM100 uses a differential measurement technique employing two subsystems to achieve its high accuracy. The first subsystem is a user controlled field neutralization unit with a dynamic range of ±100,000 nT and a resolution of 0.1 nT. The second is a low noise analog output magnetometer that measures the difference between the ambient and neutralization fields. The neutralizing field and difference field are displayed on a large Vacuum Florescent Display on the front panel. The difference field is also provided as an analog voltage through a connector on the back of the chassis. The factory calibration of the neutralization subsystem to ±0.01% is traceable to NIST.

The MGC-1 is a low noise high sensitivity single axis AC magnetic field sensor used for the measurement of audio frequency fields. Because of its innovative design, the MGC-1 amplitude response is insensitive to the frequency of the field over its 5 Hz to 10 kHz frequency band. Accuracy at 1 kHz is ±1%, and the amplitude response stays within 2 dB peak-to-peak over the bandwidth.

he MEDA turnkey closed loop magnetic field sources cancel the local ambient field as well as generate accurate and uniform magnetic fields in a control volume. The sources use Helmholtz coils driven by control currents to produce stable magnetic fields from 1 nT to 100,000 nT. The accuracy of the field in the control volume is better than 0.05% of the setting.
