OPERA™
The OPERA™ Voice/Audio Quality Analyzer represents the latest developments to objectively evaluate and assure the quality of compressed voice and wide-band audio signals, based on modeling the human ear. With OPERA you can achieve a comprehensive analysis of the end-to-end quality of today's and next generation networks, such as VoIP, VoDSL, VoATM, ISDN, GSM, POTS, from the caller to the callee. Also, you can test the audio quality of compression formats such as MP3, AAC, AC3, Microsoft Windows Media, from the studio source to the receiver, or from the server to the client.

Besides our product line of perceptual quality testing products, we offer extensive services in the field of QoS testing, where you can immediately benefit from the technology source - the expertise and experience of our developers. This is most often the case for field studies, or during the evaluation of network components, either if the customer's demand for QoS testing is a temporary one, or simly, if no engineering resources are available otherwise. For instance, OPTICOM could provide comprehensive QoS consulting, including not only objective but as well subjective evaluation, like we did during the introduction of a novel digital satellite broadcast service in the U.S. As a major contributor to the ITU standards, OPTICOM can also provide expertise in implemenation and conformance testing of independent implementations. Even if your PESQ implementation works according to specs, you should consider that an independent conformance test seal could be an asset that will leverage the value of your product from a marketing persepective.

PEXQ
PEXQ is OPTICOM’s latest product for Windows offering a complete portfolio of quality measurement tools for voice, audio/visual and data payload analysis based on human perception. PEXQ provides mandatory features in the area of R&D for the development of new multimedia codecs as well as for multimedia equipment manufacturers. Besides lab testing PEXQ is also ideal for network operators and carriers to measure quality of service. PEXQ is founded on well established internationally standardized measurement algorithms such as PESQ (ITU-T Rec. P.862, P.862.1 (narrow band), P.862.2 (wide band); Perceptual Evaluation of Speech Quality) and completely new metrics for video quality testing like PEVQ (Perceptual Evaluation of Video Quality).
