Electron Plus
We are Electron Plus, a small but innovative brand offering affordable, high-quality testing instruments meticulously designed and proudly manufactured in the UK. With over 30 years of passion and experience, our mission is to craft superior solutions that seamlessly blend precision with budget-consciousness. All our instruments are designed as “headless”, connecting to a PC for display and user interface purposes. This not only allows us to keep our instruments compact and more affordable, but utilises the processing and display power of the modern computer. Alongside product design and manufacturing, we also write all our software in-house with all previous versions (including alpha & beta releases) available on our website for free.

ASA240
The ASA240 Analog Signature Analyser will assist you in testing, diagnosing and troubleshooting printed circuit boards without powering them (known as ‘power-off testing’).Connected via USB to a compatible PC running our own free software, with the ASA240 you can easily capture, measure and compare known good signatures (from your ‘golden’ board) with signatures from your suspect board. The built-in gate/bias generator (+/-10V, 100ohm source impedance) can be used to help test active components such as SCR’s, opto-couplers, small relays, TRIAC’s etc. An external dual footswitch can be connected to the ASA200 and can be user configured to control various functions. The built switching matrix (40 x 2) is easily configured from the software and maybe used with adaptors (such as DIP or SO) to speed up testing of boards, or maybe connected to a ‘bed-of-nails’ to facilitate rapid testing of boards in production. With the ASA240 we set out to bring the incredibly powerful technique of Analog Signature Analysis to engineers and repair shops at an affordable price.

CTL503
The CTL503 Curve Tracer is a low-cost transistor (BJT and FET) computer controller curve tracer. Unlike other simple curve tracing units the CTL503 is designed to measure devices to 100V and upto 3A. Four collector resistors (relay selected) allow the user to test the smallest of BJT’s and FET’s as well as extracting meaningful curves from larger TO3/TO247 packaged devices. Limits on both peak test voltage and peak test current can be easily set to prevent exceeding device parameters.Pulse testing (80us/300us) is used to minimise device heating and to ensure the CTL503 can be powered via USB. This may be disabled for smaller parts.Connected and powered via USB and running our own free software the CTL503 is easily configured using a built in wizard (for quick results), or the user can adjust every instrument parameter to suit. Works with EPIC 21.010 and above.Users can save data from runs, as well simply grab images directly from EPIC.Connections are made to the DUT (device-under-test) with the built-in colour coded test leads with crocodile clips.

SPA100
Our highly sensitive source picoammeter is designed for measuring and logging very small currents down to the pA range - making it an ideal instrument for scientific and research applications, including physics, materials science and electron microscopy. Full-featured at an affordable price, the SPA100 combines sensitivity, accuracy and stability to allow users to measure low currents with high precision as well as conveniently source bias voltages for experimentation. SPA100 also doubles as an ultra-high resistance meter, measuring accurately into the teraohm range. As with all our “headless” products, the SPA100 connects to PC via USB and utilises our complimentary software EPIC - enabling users to easily measure, graph and capture readings with timestamps and measurement stability information.
