The Bandmaster III universal band decoder is a highly integrated unit that not only decodes band information using YAESU “band data” (note 1), but can sense band information for all bands from160M through 6M, including 160M, separate 80M and 75M, 60M, WARC bands and 6M by monitoring CAT (note 2) data going to and from the radio. The Bandmaster III also contains all circuitry for level conversion thus eliminating the need for a separate CAT radio interface (note 3).

The Power Master II wattmeter has the ability to have two couplers connected to it, and it has provision to allow switching very easily between the two couplers through only two button presses on the front panel.When operating SO2R, you do not want to have to toggle from one coupler to another. We make matched couplers available for SO2R users and due to the nature of these couplers being high impedancedevices, we can actually connect the two coupler inputs in parallel and instead of toggling between the two couplers, they will both be connected and active at the same time. The first step is to disconnect all connections to the rear panel of your Power Master II and remove the two #6-32 philips screws on either side of the cabinet.

The SixPak has two components: a relay matrix and a control box, there are several options for the controller.The relay matrix allows the selection of any 6 antennas by 2 radios or feedlines. Its lockout circuitry prevents both radios from selecting the same antenna. (The 6x1 type of SixPak is now replaced by our RatPak remote 6 way antenna switch.)The usual set-up has one SixPak dual rotary control box, which is manually operated from the radios positions. The control box for the 6x2 contains two rotary switches and 12 LEDs, so the operator can see which antennas are selected.

The RAM-34 is a complete pre-amplifier system designed primarily for the low bands 160M thru 40M. It has inputs for four receive antennas and internal 3-pole bandpass filters for 160M, 80M and 40M. In addition to the pre-amplifier, it has a step attenuator that togetherwith the amplifier stage provides gains from -20 dB to +20 dB in 5 dB steps. This allows equalizing the signal levels between the antenna inputs. Gain settings are memorized for each antenna on each band. Different types of receive antennas have different signal levels and the gain memories eliminate the need to adjust the receiver or pre-amplifier when switching between the antennas.

With the ability to monitor your VSWR and power levels at all times, you will know that your transmitter, RF source, and load, or antenna systems are operating effectively and safely. In addition, the power and VSWR relay alarms can quickly shut down your power amplifier system and alert you to the alarm condition. This places an additional layer of protection in your transmitting system to help preserve expensive tubes and finals. The PowerMaster II also features the ability to be monitored and controlled from a PC using the software downloadable from our website, and the unique ability to be monitored and controlled over a LAN or from the internet. PowerMaster II firmware updates will be posted for download from the Array Solutions website as they become available. This means that the user can take full advantageof features or enhancements just by installing the firmware update. No need to return the meter to the factory for updates
